My favourite bag of all time is not the new Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene beautiful though it certainly is. Nor is it an effortlessly stylish French Christophe Lemaire creation or even a genuine Gucci classic, or any of the beautiful silver clutch bags I own (love them though I do!).
My favourite bag is the re-usable carrier from Asda at 6p a pop. They are brilliant. Handy, sturdy and with 4p going to charity, they are a steal. I usually buy a couple once a week and keep a stash at home for lining bins and packing the kids swimwear for school. The supermarket does a linen re-usable bag at 32p which I really like too. It’s a little more expensive but it’s sturdier, and comes in many attractive designs. They are great to use as kids PE kits and for a spring picnic outside. Asda is supporting breast cancer charities ‘tickled pink’ campaign this year and releasing a special ‘tickled pink’ linen bag. The proceeds from sales go to charity. |

My boyfriend bought me my favourite fashion item, if you can really call it a fashion item. He bought it for my birthday and I wear it all the time. A necklace made of silver and quite plain it has a lapis lazuli stone set in a silver oval mount. Even my young daugher - who is more into her Oilily bags and fashion that suits her own age - remarked on its beauty. It is beautiful and has many magical properties. Lapis lazuli is the birthstone of November, the Sagittarius sign. It is said to enhance truth and psychic connection within the one who wears it and is often called the stone of truth and friendship. The stone gives off an unpleasant odour when cut, but is a beautiful dark blue with gold flecks running through it. As a fashion item it matches with practically all my outfits. I dress in linen and bright coloured clothes and silver jewellery suits this look. The necklace really is my favourite fashion item and I love wearing it. |

Favorite fashion items come and go in my house - from ladies court shoes to pashminas, especially as I continue my personal battle of the bulge. Losing weight is no picnic, so I am constantly looking for items in my closet that minimize my flabby areas. That is why my favorite fashion item is a super-long cardigan sweater that is made of a very thin knit. It comes down past my hips and just about kisses my knees. It is very slimming, even for a plump person like me. It is also an all-weather sweater, since it is light enough to wear even in the hottest days of summer, yet provides enough coverage to take the chill away during the colder months of the year. Because it is black, it goes with nearly everything in my closet and looks great with basic black slacks and pumps. It is the one item in my closet that actually makes me feel sexy, so I turn to it frequently to make me feel good. One of these days when I lose some weight, I will find some cardigan sweaters that are shorter and will show off my new figure. For now, this long black piece is my favorite. |

I was doubtful that a pair of trainers could really help me tone my legs but more in hope than expectation I tried on a pair of attractive Skechers Tone Ups Toners. I didn't want to take them off. Having wide feet has always meant buying shoes of any type can be a chore, so to put on a pair of trainers and immediately feel comfortable was a joy. I completed my purchase in record time. Putting them to the test I decided to go for a walk. It was like walking on a cushion of air and certainly put a spring in my step. My trainers came with a choice of white or pink laces to match the pink sprung soles. I opted for the white. The toes have an aerated fabric that keeps them fresh but not waterproof, but not wearing them in the rain means that they have retained their glowing whiteness. As for my legs, well the toning may have come from the additional walking I have done in my comfortable trainers or it may have been from the special soles, either way I certainly feel the muscles in my legs have improved over the last few months. Would I buy these Sketchers again? You bet I would! |

I love bags - I collect bags like a maniac - from green evening bags to tan satchels, I'm a bag collecting fiend.
My favorite fashion item is my Coach purse. It’s a slingback style purse, with tan and purple Cs assembled to look like little clovers all over the purse on a light beige background. I can adjust the strap to wear it normally or across my chest. It has one slot on the outside that will fit papers, and the other side has the newer Coach logo which is a metal plate of a horse and buggy. I have a matching checkbook cover to go with it. I think it looks very classy, and I get a lot of compliments on it when I’m out doing errands. The only drawbacks are that it’s difficult to fit wide items like a wallet inside, and there’s no zippered pouches anywhere to hold feminine items. After, you need to have some at all times, but you don’t want to look at them or have your date see them. Other than that, I think my Coach purse has been the best fashion investment I’ve made in a long time. |
